Masseria Del Grillo - Villa in Puglia

Masseria Del Grillo is a splendid luxury villa of the 19th century surrounded by a large garden with swimming pool and relaxation areas. 

This splendid farmhouse, located in Montesano Salentino, is made up of three units and can accommodate up to 14 people. 

The first unit is the main building of the villa. 
The entrance is into a spacious room with a built-in wall unit, fireplace and sofa. From here you go to the first suite with 1 double bedroom with private bathroom and a double sofa bed on a wooden mezzanine. 

From the living room you have access to the other rooms of the villa. The corridor overlooking the garden with pool leads to 1 double bedroom with en suite bathroom while another corridor leads to the kitchen and bathroom. 

In the center of this first unit is the dining room, accessible from the entrance at the back, the kichen and a sitting room with direct access to the inner courtyard. 

The kitchen consists of two rooms: one with iron kitchenette and an ancient pietra-leccese fireplace and the adjacent room with freezer, fridge, dishawasher, kettle, microwave oven, coffee machine, toaster and large shelves. 

The second unit is located on the basement floor and is characterized by the barrel-vaulted ceiling. There is a large open space with an equipped kitchen, 2 king size double sofa beds and a bathroom with shower. An iron and wood staircase leads to the historic cistern carved into the rock, used as a wine cellar. This unit can be reached by a staircase that connects the floor with the garden and pool area. 

The third unit is accessible from the porch; it is furnished with a double bedroom, walk-in closet, en suite bathroom with tub and shower created inside an ancient oven. 

Masseria Del Grillo is equipped with a large swimming pool which is in the natural dip of the property, a solarium of about 50 m2 with nebulization/cooling system, bar and an outdoor equipped area with sofa and wooden table. 

The swimming pool is cleaned by a salt-based depuration system which guarantees the perfect sterilization and places the swimming pool among the bio-swimming pool systems, that are made in respect of the surroundings. 

The property is surrouded by dry-stone walls and partly by tuff walls. 
In the shade of an imposing centuries-old walnut tree there are 4 wooden tables that can accomodate up to 40 people embellished by the artificial lighting and candle-lit lanterns. 
Next to the walnut tree, a graceful iron pergola supports a vineyard. Also nearby is the ancient "aiara" recovered with the underlying cistern for collecting rainwater. 

Montesano Salentino is a small town in Southern Salento, a short drive away from the beautiful seaside locations of Tricase Porto, Andrano marina, Castro and Santa Cesarea Terme, Pescoluse and Santa Maria di Leuca.
